The Team - School No 49 - Bucharest / Romania
|
School 49, located in the residential district Vatra Luminoasa (The Bright / Illuminated Establishment), was founded in September 1957.
It is a comprehensive school providing primary and secondary education to students aged 7 to 14/15.
There are about 800 students and 53 teachers in our school. It is a well-known educational institution due to the students' good results in all national examinations and school contests. When they graduate, our students go to renowned high schools and they are always proud of having attended School 49.

Having Albert Einstein's words in mind, we started working on this project, which required a lot of time, effort and determination.
We studied maps, history and geography books, travel guides and photo albums. But what was really the engine of this hard work was our imagination. We traveled in time and we discovered people and legends. We talked to our parents and teachers and we visited museums. We even "visited" Croatia and Turkey on the wings of words and images. We did everything together, as a team.
Who are we?
We are students in a school of high reputation in Bucharest, guided by our devoted teachers who supported and encouraged us all the time.

Hi! I'm Cristina and I am from Bucharest. I am almost 14 years old. I am blonde, with hazel eyes, and I'm not very tall. I like sports and I love acting. I like English very much. I am crazy about Twilight: X. I like Biology and Chemistry. In my spare time, I play volleyball with my friends if it's warm outside. In winter I often go to the mall or to the cinema. Hello, my name is Daniela I am 14 years old and I study at the best school, 49. I love spending my free time with my friends at the mall or in park. The place doesn't matter if my friends are with me. We have a lot of fun together and this is what matters.
I love fashion and I consider it an art. I like sports, too, especially basketball, volleyball and badminton. I am keen on biology and I want to become a doctor, maybe a dentist. I love dancing and I think I am a good dancer; my favourite artists are Miley Cyrus, Ciara, Lady Gaga, Kat Deluna, Jonas Brothers and many others. My favourite colours are red, green pink, blue and purple.
I love adventure and I am always in love. I am very ambitious, dynamic, happy, smart, pretty, mysterious and I have a strong personality. I am a Gemini and I am proud of that. I have many of the characteristics of this sign, especially curiosity. At school my favourite subjects are Romanian, English, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Physics, in fact I think I like almost all the subjects.

I am Teodora Mititelu. I am 14 years old and I am in the 7-th grade. I am energetic and funny and I love being a teenager. I enjoy reading and listening to music. In my free time I go out with my friends. When it's cold we often go to the cinema but sometimes we meet at somebody's house to watch a film, usually a comedy, to play computer games or just chat. When the weather is good we go roller skating in the park or we ride our bikes. And of course, I do a lot of homework, just like all my friends. I never have time to get bored. Life is really wonderful!

Hello. My name is Dinca Alexandru and I am 14 years old. I love playing tennis and my favorite tennis player is Roger Federer. In this picture, you can see me near Gilles Simon from France. He is the best tennis player of the country and the eighth of the world. We are at BCR Bucharest Open in 2008. He was the best player who had come to Romania in the past 5 years and he won the championship. Let's leave tennis and talk about me. I am a very energetic person and I like practicing all kinds of sports. I also love riding my road bike… last time I rode my by at 100 km.
